Musical Matching Game

South Caroline ETV has a Musical Matching Game where you can hear a musical instrument being played and guess which instrument it is.  You then see a short video of a musician playing the instrument.

It’s a nice little game for English Language Learners, especially if they’ve become a little familiar with orchestra instruments prior to using the website.   One way for them to do this is to use some of the other links under the Music and Art section (where you can also find the Musical Matching Game) where you can hear the names of the instruments as well as seeing them as text.

Of course, there are other ways to become familiar with musical instruments.  As you can see from some of the photos on my website, members of the School Band taught several lessons to my ESL class.
