Language Magazine just published an article I wrote about our school’s use of computers with English Language Learners. It focuses on how we use technology to build and deepen face-to-face relationships.
You can’t access the whole article at the magazine’s website, but you can read it in its entirety on mine. My original title was Computers, Relationships, and English Language Learners.
Links to my articles can also be found on the right side of the computer screen (if you’re reading this post at my blog and not via email or RSS).
Larry–I’m impressed: He is the Grand Prize Winner of the 2007 International Reading Association Presidential Award for Reading and Technology. Congratulations on your hard work and award.
Great article, well written and informative. Very real, too. It must be tough to teach all those levels in one room. Your take on having a face-to-face learning relationship through computers is interesting. Expanding the program to 50 computers is going to create a lot of work for you. Are you getting a helper?
