Jungle Journey is an attractive interactive site from PBS that gives an overview of the Amazon Rain Forest.  It’s one of many sites about the Amazon on my Geography page under the Latin America section.  This particular site is accessible to Intermediate English Language Learners, though there are links about the Amazon there are Beginners and Advanced students can use as well.

I usually have had students use the sites to develop posters and presentations to describe how they believe the Amazon might be important to their lives.
