I thought it might be helpful for me to highlight the  Social Studies textbooks I use in my classroom to supplement the mandated ones.  English Language Learners in my World History, United States History, and Geography classes like them a lot, and I know other teachers have also begun to use them as well.

America’s Story: Books One and Two are my choices for United States History.

Short Lessons In World History: Fourth Edition is the one I’m using for the first time in my World History class this year.  I also use the first part of of Longman Social Studies.
