Home Computer Project Replication

Posted at 12:05 am under technology

Since the Sacramento Bee article on our Family Literacy Project appeared two weeks ago, the Sacramento School District and I have received a number of inquiries from other districts and teachers who are interested in replicating it in their own communities.  As readers of this blog know, we provide home computers and DSL service to immigrant families, and students and adults are using it to improve their English.

The article got picked-up by a number of national educational publications.

Some of these same journals are interested in doing a follow-up article next year on Districts and schools who are going to implement similar projects.  If you are one of them, let me know and I’ll pass the information on to those publications.
