The Greatest Race On Earth

The Greatest Race On Earth is a very well-designed and thought-out site that details the specific environmental consequences of many work, transportation, home, and lesiure activities.

In addition, it offers a feature where you can compare categories of different environmental “footprints” between countries.

The language is fairly simple, though most is probably not accessible to students below being High Intermediate English Language Learners.

However, I plan on “twinning” the very accessible Zero Footprint Calculator I’ve blogged about before with the comparison chart on this site.   It even has information from Laos and Thailand, where many of my Hmong students are from, so it will be a good opportunity to do a Venn Diagram including data from the United States.

You can find both links on my World History page under Toward The Twenty-First Century.
