Rentometer
Rentometer is another simple tool that my students will be able to use when they do a comparison of neighborhoods.
It allows you to type in the address of your house/apartment (or anyone’s house/apartment) and the number of bedrooms it has. Then type in the amount you’re paying for rent. You’ll then get a report back showing if the rent is below, above, or right at the average amount for similar properties in the neighborhood. It will also show you a map with the comparable properties.
Once you have an address, you can just make up a rent amount and the number of bedrooms in order to get the averages for that neighborhood.
