Mashable wrote yesterday about a good site with a terrible name — Pimp My News. You can choose “feeds” coming from hundreds of different sources of news and entertainment, and it will show you a short summary of each piece of news and “read” the text to you, too. You can also then access the complete story text if you want.
In terms of news, you can get stories from the BBC, New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, CNN — just to name a few.
