A few days ago I wrote about Protagonize, the neat new site that allows you to “create your own adventures.”

Nick Bouton, the site’s creator, just emailed me again to say he expects to be able to add the feature of creating closed groups within the next month or two.  This way teachers will be able to just have their classes work on stories together without others contributing.

In addition, he says it will be easy for him at the same time to add a way for group members to be blocked from accessing the small number of “mature” stories on the site.

I’m pretty excited about these developments because I think students could be as enthusiastic about writing these types as stories as they are reading them.  And Protagonize makes it so easy to do.
