Another “Temporary” Email Application

Posted at 12:19 am under web 2.0

I posted earlier in the week about applications that would allow students to very quickly and easily set-up short-term email accounts.  Students can then use those addresses to sign-up for Web 2.0 applications that require an email activation.

I just learned about another site called Slopsbox that is in the same vein.  It is a little different from the other ones I’ve posted about previously.

Soapsbox is more like a regular “third-party” host.  You can keep the email address permanently (if you want), and pick up your email from there, but they delete all email after twenty-four hours.  The other difference is that you can decide what you want your address to be.

I’ve put links to all of these applications at the top of my Examples of Student Work page.
