Snow Days

The title of this post is not referring to the Big Storm that just hit us in Northern California.  No, Snow Days is the name of a web application that allows you to design a snow flake, write a message on it, and then email it to a teacher or friend.  The flake’s url can then be posted on a blog or online journal.

This is just one more site that English Language Learners can use for writing practice if there’s a little extra time left one day in the computer lab.

I’ve placed the link on my Examples of Student Work page under E-Cards.

I learned about this site through Jay is Games.

  1. I tried it! I enjoyed making the snowflake and realized I could probably sit and do it for quite awhile. But I must resist temptation.

I think students would really enjoy it.
