Quickie Click

Quickie Click is a social bookmarking application.  Their twist is that, in addition to being able to see the names and urls of the sites you bookmark, you can also see a snapshot image.

This visual support could be very helpful to English Language Learners.  One of the activities we try to do in our after-school ESL Lab is to pair up students of different ethnicities and have them share their favorite activities from my website.  This kind of visual bookmarking service would make this a little easier.

One drawback to the site at this time, though, is the images they show are only of the bookmarked site’s homepage, though the url and link is to the correct site.  They say they plan on fixing this confusion in the future.

I’ve placed the link on my Examples of Student Work page under Student Bookmarks.
