Short Text

Short Text is a free and simple web application that allows you to easily write a text of up to 30,000 characters and then create a permanent url for it.

English Language Learners could write a final draft of a story or essay and copy and paste it to Short Text.  Then, the url could be posted on a teacher’s web page or blog so it could be accessed by the student, friends, or family.

The catch is that once it’s posted, it can’t be changed — it will be on the url as is, and forever.

I’ve placed it on my Examples of Student Work page under Student Stories.
