Maps of War

Maps of War, known for some exceptional animated historical maps it has created for free online access, has now put together a library of animated maps from other sources.

Most of the maps are useful, and the graphics at least should be accessible to English Language Learners.

I especially liked a New York Times map on Worldwide Migration that could be an excellent resource for students.

When you go to the map library link, be sure to also click on “Home” so you can access the projects that Maps of War itself has actually created.

I’ve placed the link on my World History page under Sites That Cover Many Periods of World History.  I’ve also put it on my Geography page under Sites That Cover Many Areas.
