I’m going to be adding a new site, Sketch Planet, to my list of The Best Online Tools For Collaboration — Not In Real Time.  This site allows you to create groups around specific topics where people can easily draw something, and then you can leave comments.

This seems to me that it has potential for being one more way that English Language Learner classes in different time zones, and even students in the same school but in different classes,  can collaborate together.  I can imagine having my students, for example, quckly drawing something that represents their lives and sharing that with students in our sister classes.  They, in turn, could comment and draw a response.

Giles Dawe, the site’s creator, is tightening-up filters to ensure that no inappropriate drawings are left on the site.  I think the site is defintely is worth looking into.
