Blackbeard The Pirate is a National Geographic site about…Blackbeard the Pirate.  The language is probably accessible to advanced English Language Learners, but the videos, images, and the hangman game can be used by Early Intermediate Learners.

You certainly get the pirate “atmosphere” from the site, which is a good learning experience in itself.  You see and hear cannons blazing and all sorts of “pirate talk.”
