		<description>Larry ,

Thanks for giving some exposure to how useful karaoke is in the classroom. I have loads of articles, about teachers here and there across the world who have succeeded in literacy and English teaching where other methods have failed.

Karaoke doesn&#039;t only mean &quot;songs&quot; to me. Also, like at EFL Classroom 2.0 (click the Karaoke tab), it means, stories, poetry, essays, news, translations, books, speeches. It is the ultimate TTS (text to speech) tool for the classroom.

In our karaoke room, you can choose a file and it will play automatically on the free downloadable player. You can change how the words appear, change the speed (so important in language teaching) and even edit and reproduce the song....

I&#039;d also encourage all teachers to get a microphone!!! Not only for karaoke but everything. It helps your voice, it helps your students hear well, it helps focus attention. Mics can plug into most cd players and you have speakers and are ready....

For the real addicts, make your own!!! Full instructions on EFL Classroom 2.0 and we even have a group of dedicated teachers who upload constant new ones onto the discussion thread. Always new stuff. My latest was the ever popular Jonas Brothers! Check it out.

Your comments are valid about youtube and video karaoke. We have over 300 videos on youtube but mostly for exposure, to get the word out to other teachers....
