Virtual Field Trips

Posted at 12:16 am under teacher resources

Virtual Field Trips are pretty much what the phrase indicates — they’re guided tours on the Internet designed for students. Of course, nothing beats the real thing, but it is unlikely, for example, that I’ll be taking my class to visit castles in Great Britain anytime soon.

I’ve got several good sites that lead to scores, if not hundreds, of these “trips.” You can find them on my Teacher’s Page under Virtual Field Trips.

They include Virtual Field Trips from the Utah Education Network; Tramline; and another collection of Virtual Field Trips from Internet 4 Classrooms.

    Hi Larry.

These virtual tour sites look great.

When I just tried to go to your post on “English Vocabulary”, I couldn’t get there. Something’s not working.
