How To Use Voice Thread

Posted at 6:18 pm under teacher resources, web 2.0

I think VoiceThread is a wonderful application for ESL/EFL students. In fact, I named it the number one Best Web 2.0 Application for ESL/EFL Learners– 2007.

However, I don’t think their site makes it that easy to understand how teachers can use it most effectively.

Now Silvia Tolisano has written an extensive post, including many screenshots, that is clearly the best explanation I’ve seen on how teachers can use this web tool.

    Larry,

As you know well — I also champion voicethread! But they are not so good on the social networking end and many teachers need such a great explanation as Silvia has added.

We have just started a voicethread directory and discussion area at EFL Classroom 2.0 - for English Language learners and teachers but other teachers are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

Still in its infancy but you can go there, post a link to your voicethread or your class’ voicethread, comment, find links to How Tos and other great voicethreads etc….. I hope others will promote this as a way of consolidating the EFL and literacy aspect of voicethread. http://eflclassroom.ning.com/wpage/voicethreads

    Cheers,

    David
