Tempest In Crescent City

Posted at 8:37 am under learning games, social studies

We teach a unit on New Orleans in our mainstream ninth grade English classes (which also includes more advanced English Language Learners). You can find many links about that city and Hurricane Katrina on my website under New Orleans.

Tempest In Crescent City is a new online video game where you play the role of someone rescuing people during Katrina. It’s an accessible way for English Language Learners to begin learning about the disaster.

I’ve added it to the New Orleans resources on my site.
