“Ask” Search Engine Gets Better

Posted at 11:29 pm under search engines

The Ask search engine has just gotten better, I think, for English Language Learners. Webware just wrote a good post with images explaining the changes.

Now, if you ask a question (Who is the governor of California? What is a Roman gladiator?) instead of just showing you a bunch of links where you can find the answer to the question, it will show the answer itself. It did pretty well in my experiments.

I’ve placed the link under Search Engines on my website.

Speaking of search engines, you might be interested in reviewing The Best Search Engines For ESL/EFL Learners — 2007. I’ll be coming out with a new list next month for 2008.
