Kosmix Search Engine

Posted at 8:21 am under search engines

Kosmix is a new search engine that won’t make it on this year’s The Best Search Engines For English Language Learners (you might want to check out The Best Search Engines For ESL/EFL Learners — 2007), but it does offer some advantages to English Language Learners.

Its main benefit is that after you type in a search term, everything shows-up on the page — wikipedia articles, website links, photos, videos, etc.  Unlike other search engines, at your initial inquiry you don’t have to specify what area (images, blogs, videos) you want to look through.

This could make it a little less confusing for students.

I’ve placed the link on my website under Search Engines.
