I’ve had a link to Discovery Atlas on my Geography webpage for quite awhile. I never wrote a post about it, though, because my memory was that the content was pretty limited since Discovery wanted you to subscribe to their educational video service instead.

A posting about it in Phyllis’ Favorites prompted me to take another look, and I was quite impressed with what I found. Either they have added a ton of new content to the site, or I just missed it the first time around.

You can click on what appears to be most countries of the world on a map, and then choose to watch a series of video clips from the Discovery Channel on that nation’s Natural World, History, Government and/or Culture.

It’s definitely worth a visit.
