Jinni For Movies

Posted at 6:22 pm under teacher resources

Jinni is a new site to search for movies. It doesn’t appear to be as good a tool as Movie Lens is for finding films in categories that teachers might be looking for, but second place isn’t bad…

It’s still private, but TechCrunch has 500 invitations available if you go to its post about it.

You might also want to look at The Best Popular Movies/TV Shows For ESL/EFL.

Thanks for writing about Jinni, I’m glad to hear our site looks useful to you! Because it’s possible to search for movies on Jinni from a variety of angles – by geographic place, time period, historical event, and much more (including style, structure and soundtrack) – it could be a nice, flexible tool for teachers looking for topical movies. During our private beta testing phase, we’ll be working hard to improve our site to best fit our users’ needs, and everyone who tries out the site is welcome (in fact, requested!) to send feedback. Thanks again!
