The blogosphere was alive with posts yesterday about Google getting together with the old LIFE Magazine to put millions of older photos online.

I didn’t really pay it much attention since I figured there were so many images available online from the past seventy years already.

However, I just took a look, and was surprised to find that the archives were divided into decades — dating all the way to the Civil War. It’s organized in a way that’s very accessible to English Language Learners, and I’m placing it on my U.S. History page.
