Text-Based Games

Posted at 12:45 am under Intermediate English, learning games, reading

Commodore 64 was apparently a computer from the 1980’s that allowed you to play a lot of different video games (it wasn’t an interest of mine during that time period). Even though the computers are long gone, the games continue to live at Commodore 64 Online, where you can play, in your present browser, many of those games today. The link in this post leads directly to their text-based adventure games, which, though not as sophisticated as the games I’ve posted about in the past, still provide language learning opportunities for Intermediate English Language Learners.

Walkthroughs for all these games can be found at C64 Adventure Game Solutions.

And, if you’re new to this blog and don’t have any idea what I’m talking about, please read my article about how I use online video games with English Language Learners here.
