….I could get it to work, but I can’t! (they have it working now)
Embedit.in is supposed to allow you to upload any file or url address, and then create an embed code for it so it can be embedded in a blog or website. It’s made by the same company that created Backboard, which I’m very impressed with.
Embedit.in would be very helpful. One way would be for students to be able to embed many of their Web 2.0 projects that just allow them to create links right now, such as the ones on my Examples of Student Work page. Instead, they could upload the url addresses of their creations to, for example, websites they’ve made from tools on The Best Ways For Students Or Teachers To Create A Website list.
I’ve tried using Embedit.in with several different browsers and different computers, but nothing I tried to upload ever loads — it just says it’s loading…and loading…and loading some more.
I’ve contacted the company to see if they’re having technical problems. I’d be interested if other people have the same experience, or if I’m just cursed…
I might have gotten one step further… all I see is processing… processing… processing…
Same here. I’ve tried 2 different file types to see if that was the problem, but no luck.
Looks like a great concept, just not ready for prime time right now.
Same problem with me…ready somewhere that it is possibly a windows problem. I saw a website saying that Linux works ok and have a friend with a mac that works fine 🙁
