The Book of Odds is an intriguing website that tells you the odds of just about anything happening. It’s intriguing content, and probably accessible to Intermediate English Language Learners.

Thanks to Mashable for the tip.

  1. Dear Larry,

We hope many teachers and students will use the site, including the feature which creates custom lists. The sourcing is very explicit so the information can be used in papers or in teaching materials with reasonable confidence.

One of our ambitions is to provide support to schools to do projects related to probability and even collect their own Odds Statements, both in the US and eventually in many other countries too.

We also hope to develop teaching materials and courses such as a CME course. Let us know if you have ideas on how to expand our usefulness in the classroom.
