Cinchcast is a simple tool that lets you basically create an audio blog, and you can upload images, too.
I’ve added it to The Best Sites To Practice Speaking English.
Thanks to Jen Farr for the tip.

Thanks for the info on this site. I always seem to have trouble with students record in my computer lab though. Either the microphones break, the microphone levels need adjusting or some other annoying issue. Does anyone else have recording difficulties. Any suggestions to make my life easier. I am haunted by the sound of students saying, ” It no work>”
John, Cinchcast uses a telephone connection to a computer in NYC. Your students can call the number and leave an audio message. You can do the same. You can register each student’s phone number, so their recording go into specific files. If you’d like to see a camtasia video, take a look at: http://www.viddler.com/explore/kenenglish/videos/185/
I’m going to do #3 soon, because a couple of new features have been added. However, this one will show you the basic layout and process.
I think this would be a very good teaching platform. Good luck with it.
