My name is Rebecca Warnberg and I am a student at the University of South Alabama in Dr. Strange’s EDM310 class. I found your topic very interesting since I live in Mobile, AL. There is a huge Mardi Gras celebration here every year, and I have heard several locals claim that the first Mardi Gras celebration took place here in Mobile. I have never participated in a Mardi Gras celebration since I am not from Mobile, but it is very interesting to learn about the history of the holiday from these websites! You may have inspired me to participate this year!
