New York City Mayor Insults Parents — Again is the title of my newest post at Engaging Parents In School, my other blog.
You’re not going to believe what Mayor Bloomberg said about minority parents fighting against his plan to close twenty-two schools…
It is so much fun to be a NYC teacher right now. Not only have we gone through a series of chancellor’s who wouldn’t have recognized the inside of a public school before their job began (except maybe the current one- who if you read a little further, sent his children to private school until high school), but we are under daily attack for being, greedy, lazy unionists.
The saddest issue of all, is while the country struggles to recover from the economic woes, NYC, home of the institutions and individuals who received huge economic bailouts when they were in trouble- is operating with a 3.2 billion surplus. So what does that mean to our “education” mayor- 4,200 teacher will be laid off this June, if he gets his way.
That’s what happens when parent’s are not capable of knowing what is best for their students. Only billionaires are.
Thanks for spreading the word!
