This new catchy tune with a great message was composed by Linda Gower for the Save our Schools March in Washington, D.C. next week (thanks to Leonie Haimson for the tip).
You can read more about the March at an Interview Of The Month I did with organizers, and visit the March’s website. You can also learn about local related events throughout the country here.
Since you’re a teacher, you ought to put the comma for direct address back in the title where it belongs. “Please, Mister President, Listen to Me.”
Otherwise, I love your stuff.
A very catchy song, yet straight to the point. Maybe if the president wasn’t out playing golf 3 days out of the week, he’d have time to listen. That’s just my 2 cents worth. Now there’s big talk about how the Government is getting ready to cut free local channels, and making people pay for them. Where did the billions of tax dollars go for the HD Receivers we all had to buy?
In answer to Emil’s comment: I wrote the song, not Linda, and am not actually a teacher. In fact, if it weren’t for spell-check, I would have a hard time getting through the day. So punctuation is the least of my worries.
