I have a huge backlog of resources that I’ve been planning to post about in this blog but, just because of time constraints, have not gotten around to doing. Instead of letting that backlog grow bigger, I regularly grab a few and list them here with a minimal description. It forces me to look through these older links, and help me organize them for my own use. I hope others will find them helpful, too. These are resources that I didn’t include in my “Best Tweets” feature because I had planned to post about them, or because I didn’t even get around to sending a tweet sharing them.

Here are This Week’s “Links I Should Have Posted About, But Didn’t”:

ListnPlay is a easy site to create music video playlists online. I’m adding it to Not “The Best,” But “A List” Of Music Sites. Thanks to Matthias Heil for the tip.

Sizing Up Space: A Visual History is an infographic from NPR. I’m adding it to The Best Resources For Learning About The Space Shuttle. I’m also adding this video, Space Shuttle: The complete missions, to that same list:

Mandela’s leadership lessons is a great piece from CNN. I’m adding it to The Best Sites For Learning About Nelson Mandela. Here are some other additions to the same “The Best…” list:

Bikers on a drive to do good for Mandela’s birthday is from CNN.

In pictures: Nelson Mandela marks 93rd birthday is from the BBC.

Bloomin’ iPad is a collection of iPad apps that encourage higher-order thinking. It was put together by Kathy Schrock. I’m adding it to The Best Resources For Helping Teachers Use Bloom’s Taxonomy In The Classroom.

321 Fast Draw has some pretty engaging graphic animations of books. I’m adding it to The Best Sites For Learning About Graphic Recording.

Promoting Extensive Reading among ELT students is an ELT Chat Summary. I’m adding it to The Best Resources Documenting The Effectiveness of Free Voluntary Reading.

JayCut is a highly-rated free online video editor on Not The “Best,” But A List… Of Online Video Editors. They were bought by Blackberry this week, and now they are no longer accepting new registrations, though existing users can still access the site…for now. Thanks to Richard Byrne for the tip.

Make Your Own Hurricane is an interactive from the Sun Sentinel. I’m adding it to The Best Sites For Learning About Hurricanes.

The Goodwill Community Foundation (GCF) has great tutorials on a variety of software applications. I’m adding it to The Best Places To Learn Computer Basics & How To Fix Tech Problems.

Teebler quickly and easily provides you with basic stats on any website. I’m adding it to The Best Tools For Keeping Your Own Website Or Blog “Healthy.” Quirktools will show you what your website looks when viewed through various devices. I’m adding it to that “The Best…” list, too.

A Zoo’s Worth of Robotic Animals is an amazing collection of videos from The Atlantic. I’m adding it to The Best Sites To Learn About Robots.
