When you, or your students, are making a videocast, having a script or notes appear on your screen could come in handy.
Here’s a quick list of free and easy online teleprompter-like tools that let you paste your words into them and then scroll up on the screen:
“TELEPROMPT.ME” HAS SCRIPT MOVE AS YOU SAY THE WORDS, NOT AT A PRE-SET SPEED
Teleprompt.me is the best online teleprompter out there, and they just released a new version.
ScriptSlide looks like a potentially useful teleprompter.
Veed.io is a new online teleprompter.
Additional suggestions are welcome.

Easyprompter was by far the easiest to use in my opinion.
I’m going to pass this info around to my staff here at work, I hope they’ll be able to use it in their daily activities.
I found http://www.freeteleprompter.org/ particularly good. The others seem rather dated.
Thanx for this, Larry! I was in overwhelm doing the Google Dance,,,
After trying them all… 3 comments
Teleprompter Mirrors doesn’t exist any more… or at least your link above is broken
Cueprompter has a foot peddle, pricey but available… busy web page for setup so kind of distracting
Onlineteleprompter is “prettier” and very simple
EasyPrompter is my personal favorite…
Downloadable version so no need to be online: BIG for me
Tracks time running or you… purrrfect since all of my presentations are timed
Thanks, Dawn!
I always used cueprompter but it is buggy and stops halfway through the script and also does weird things with the speed. That was a royal pain as I had to edit the heck out of everything to fix it. I searched alternatives and found your site – just used easyprompter and it is so far perfect. So many thanks for this list!!!
Mr. Feriazzo,
I tried Easyprompter but could not “save”…I thought it was free???Or maybe I can’t save unless pay $9.00 a month…Is it free or not???
I’m not sure
