Know Of Any Online Multilingual Social Studies Resources?

Up until very recently, Holt, Rinehart and Winston had incredible multilingual chapter summaries online for all their Social Studies textbooks. However, now they’ve taken them off-line. Their website has always been temperamental, and I’ve been trying to contact them to see what’s going on. With luck, they’ll make the summaries available again.

However, if they don’t, I’m wondering if anybody knows of similar resources out there?

I’ve also taken this opportunity to update and revise The Best Multilingual & Bilingual Sites For Math, Social Studies, & Science.

  1. My district adopted the Holt textbooks for its social studies program a few years ago. In addition to the ability to access the web-based resources, we received CD-ROMs that included the chapter summaries. Do you have access to these?

  3. I know some of the Hampton Brown/ National Geographic resources have been helpful in my wife’s dual immersion Spanish classroom. I found this link with a quick google search. http://tinyurl.com/3o7bf52
