You Are Your Words is a web tool from the American Heritage Dictionary that lets you upload your picture, upload something you’ve written, and then combines the two to use the words to create a new picture of you.

No registration is required, and you can share and/or download the result.

  1. Larry, I have been trying to use You are your Words for over 3 weeks now. Have tried the upload option and the webcam option both. I cannot get past the loading step 1. The loading circle just spins forever (I have waited up to 10 minutes) clockwise only to load nothing. I really want to use it for a class presentation but am baffled about what to try next. I have tried both using Google Chrome and Firefox. I don’t have a large jpeg files that I am trying to upload and the computer is only a year old so hardware should not be the issue. Any suggestions or hints on what to do next? Many thanks!
