Nice PBS News Hour Story On Teaching English Slang

Tonight, the PBS New Hour had a very interesting feature on Jessica Beinecke, the writer, host and producer of “OMG! Meiyu,” or “Oh My Gosh! American English,” a cool and very popular online video feature to teach American slang to Chinese speakers. It’s part of Voice of America.

I had seen her high-energy videos before, but didn’t know any of the background on the program.

PBS hasn’t posted the full video they aired yet (they just did, and I’ve added it at the bottom), but they did post a short text summary and a shorter background video, which I have embedded below. I’ve also embedded the last video of the Jessica’s program, which focuses on Valentine’s Day. I’ll also add the full video when PBS posts it.
