Undocumented Immigrants Can Now Start Applying For “Deferred Action (DREAM Act Lite)

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has just unveiled the forms needed by undocumented immigrants who want to apply for the new “Deferred Action” program of the Obama Administration.

Lesli Maxwell over at Ed Week’s Learning The Language blog has a lot of good information, and one of her recommendations is that teachers check out an organization called Educators for Fair Consideration.

I’m going to add this info to The Best Resources On The Obama Administration’s Plan To Partially Implement The DREAM Act.

I also have to get around to preparing a lesson plan on the new process. I think it’s going to be a huge motivator for high school students across the country, including many in my classes.
