I write a lot in my books and my blog about helping students develop “grit,” or perseverance, and have previously posted The Best Resources For Learning About The Importance Of “Grit.”

Thanks to Tom Vander Ark, I’ve learned about a new lengthy draft report from The U.S Department of Education’s Office of Educational Technology (OET) called Promoting Grit, Tenacity, and Perseverance: Critical Factors for Success in the 21st Century.

Though it does include KIPP’s awful report card on character traits, along with a few bizarre ideas for using tech to measure grit, the vast majority of the report contains incredibly useful information, I’d still say it’s the most complete review of teaching/learning grit that’s out there.
