NPR interviews several educators, including Rafe Esquith, at More Than A Number? Educators On What Standardized Testing Means.
By the way, look for a very interesting interview I did with Rafe that will appear in my column at Education Week Teacher on Sunday.
Here’s an excerpt from the NPR interview:
I’m adding this post to The Best Articles Providing An “Overall” Perspective On Education Policy.
By the way, I’m adding another interview with Rafe, The world’s most famous teacher blasts school reform, from the Washington Post to the same list.
Thank you for posting this. I am passing it along on facebook. I keep trying to get other parents interested in this latest assault on true education. Mostly I get a sort of deer in the headlights look or apathy although I’ve also been thoroughly taken to task because I couldn’t possibly know what I’m talking about since their education trumped mine. I am mom of seven ages 29- 7 and have gone through a lot of ‘educational innovations’ through the years of which CC is the latest and “greatest’.
