In yet another attempt to get at the enormous backlog I have of sites worth sharing, I’ve recently begin a regular feature called “The Week In Web 2.0.” It’ll be a short compilation of new decent sites that are worth noting, but maybe not necessarily worth a separate post and generally — though not always — not worthy of being on a “The Best…” list (let me know if you think I’m wrong in my assessment, though):

Saved.io is a new bookmarking service that lets you save an collect any webpage by just typing “saved.io/” in front of the web address. It could be particularly useful if one is traveling, though not useful enough to add to The Best Social Bookmarking Applications For English Language Learners & Other Students.

Pinterest’s Visual Web Makes Way For Text is a post from Read Write Web about some new features that Pinterest is rolling out, including automatically adding text “snippets” from articles you pin. It hasn’t rolled out yet to my account, at least, so I’m not adding this info to The Best Guides To Figuring Out Pinterest until I at least get to try it out.

Google Starts Supporting Google+ Hashtags In Search Queries is a post from TechCrunch about a potentially useful new feature at Google Plus. Again, potentially useful, but not worth adding to The Best Resources For Learning What Google+ Is All About.

YouTube Launches Free Audio Library With 150 Royalty-Free Tracks is a TechCrunch post about a definitely useful new resource at YouTube. I’m adding this to The Best Places To Get Royalty-Free Music & Sound Effects.

We Should Talk – Are You Using Student Photos Online? is an important post from The Edublogger. I’m adding it to The Best Teacher Resources For Online Student Safety & Legal Issues.

Word Sense is a combination dictionary and thesaurus I learned about through Richard Byrne’s blog. I’m adding it to The Best Reference Websites For English Language Learners, where you’ll find a number of similar services.
