I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say it’s a bit mind-boggling, especially in light of his last published piece, a plea for more evidence-based education research, which I thought was pretty good. He’s beginning to remind me of Roland Fryer, who won’t give up trying to show that extrinsic rewards will cure all in education.
