As regular readers know, I crazily agreed this semester to teach a a class of teacher credential candidates at Sacramento State University.
It’s more challenging than I had anticipated.
I’d like to ask readers for help….
There are a lot of videos out there showing educators teaching entire classes of English Language Learners (see The Best Online Videos Showing ESL/EFL Teachers In The Classroom).
But I’m having a very hard time finding clips demonstrating teachers in mainstream classes that include a few ELLs which, arguably, will be the situation for most credential candidates.
Any suggestions?
WIDA has teacher submitted videos – some are only ELL student classrooms and some have a mix. It’s not easy to find the videos so here’s a link- https://www.wida.us/getinvolved/videos.aspx. One of my favorites for scaffolding is “Assessing the Oral Language of Science” at an International High School.
