Find Purpose in Even Your Most Mundane Tasks at Work is a new and short article in The Harvard Business Review.

It contains a number of useful tidbits, but none more important than a question it encourages people to ask themselves prior to performing a task.

I’ve certainly regularly talked with students about how they’re showing leadership in class could positively impact others, but nothing as good as asking the authors recommend:

I could easily see having my English Language Learners regularly considering this question prior to doing the work they’ll be sharing with their classmates, and my TOK students asking it before making class presentations.

I plan on trying it out this week…..
