Guest Post: Here’s The Lesson We’re Doing Prior To The Student Walkout
As most educators know, students have called for a Walkout on March 14th to protest gun violence and demand social and legal changes to stop it.
Our school is telling students that they are welcome to walk out four seventeen minutes and are organizing multiple activities on-campus and in classrooms for students to learn, reflect and take further action if they so choose.
I’m still working with my student teachers to develop related lessons for that day.
I thought it would be useful for us, and for readers, to bring together available resources about the Walkout. I’ll be adding more over the next few days.
You can find lots of materials at my previously published A Compilation Of Resources To Support Student Organizing.
