In yet another attempt to get at the enormous backlog I have of sites worth blogging about, I post a regular feature called “The Week In Web 2.0.” (you might also be interested in The Best Web 2.0 Applications For Education In 2018 – So Far). I also sometimes include tech tools or articles about them that might not exactly fit the definition of Web 2.0:
Today’s big news in Web 2.0 is that Microsoft bought FlipGrid.
And they made this announcement:
Microsoft is proud to join forces with @Flipgrid to continue our commitment to educators and their students, and announce that like #Office365 for education software, Flipgrid will be free for all educators! https://t.co/6m7fY67S8q #FlipgridFever pic.twitter.com/oADrysqUNK

Vynchronize lets you easily create a private “virtual room” where you can watch videos with others and shared comments on a chatboard. I’m adding it to The Best Online Tools For Real-Time Collaboration.
Instagram is starting to let users create and share much longer videos.
✂️ Click the Edit Clipart button on the details page for any image at https://t.co/7sDt76yHMT and a graphics editor opens. You can alter the image before downloading! This is handy for changing colors or removing objects. pic.twitter.com/iMGxZzXQ2q
