Fred Korematsu fought Japanese-American internment in World War II and, here in California, January 30th is recognized as Fred Korematsu Day (in fact, the town where I live has an elementary school named after him).

The Fred Korematsu Institute has lots of good educational materials, and you can find links to them at The Best Resources On Japanese-American Internment In World War II.

I just learned that PBS has just added a number of the Institute’s lesson plans and videos to their site, and you can locate them here.

I’m not sure if they are new lesson plans or just the materials from the Institute’s previously-developed resources.  Either way, though, they’re very high-quality ones.
