Our area of Northern California is becoming the site of regular and terrible wildfires.

Last year it was tragic fire in Santa Rosa, where I had lived for over ten years, and which is an hour away from us (see The Best Resources For Teaching & Learning About The Santa Rosa Fires (& How To Help Victims)).

This weekend it’s the horrible Camp Fire – again, a hour away from us.

The Sacramento Bee has the most complete list of Camp Fire: How you can help evacuees in Butte County. [Addendum: Slate’s How to Help the Victims of the California Wildfires is pretty good, too]

The San Francisco Chronicle shares How to help Camp Fire victims.

San Francisco’s CBS News station shares How to Help Victims of the Camp Fire in Butte County.

Here are some videos of the devastation. I’m adding this post to THE BEST SITES FOR LEARNING ABOUT FOREST FIRES.
