Excuse my ignorance, but I had never heard of Google Scholar until I read an excellent post in the blog Drape’s Takes by Darren Draper, a technology specialist in Utah.

In this post, he wrote about many free Google tools.  It’s the best short overview I’ve seen about what they are and how to use them in a school.  Many can be very helpful to English Language Learners.

I’ve recently been doing a fair amount of research for a book I’m writing on teaching English Language Learners.  I was particularly surprised to learn about Google Scholar in Darren’s post.  It’s a great tool for educational research, and can’t believe I had never heard about it before.  I’m looking forward to using it.
