I’ve posted in the past about free applications that automatically back-up your computer files in case your CPU goes kaput.

It’s a great service which I use, but it’s mainly for those kinds of catastrophic situations.  These systems don’t really seem set up for you to have ready access to your files from other computers to use on a daily basis.

Now, according to TechCrunch, a potentially great web application is preparing to start, and you can request an invitation to participate in their initial testing.

Docsyncer will “sync” all your Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents with Google Docs on a continual basis.  So, if you’re like me (who always use Microsoft at home), you can have access to all those documents from any computer via Google Docs.

I’m looking forward to trying it out.
